OUR FOUNDER'S INVOLVEMENT IN THE FINANCIAL LANDSCAPE

Cynthia-Kila' Latrica Wilson, M.B.A.

Cynthia-Kila’ (pronounced key-lay) is a proud resident of Downtown Memphis and a graduate of the University of Memphis, where she earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Non-Profit Management. With a strong foundation in community service, she began her career supporting local nonprofit organizations, focusing on outreach, resource coordination, and grant development. She later expanded her impact as a business consultant, working with local vendors and agencies to guide business development and acquisition strategies.

When the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped the economic landscape, Cynthia-Kila’ pivoted into the financial industry — starting as a Teller and rapidly advancing to roles as a Universal Banker and Account Specialist. It was during this time that she discovered a deep and enduring passion for Finance.

Driven to empower others through knowledge and financial confidence, she pursued advanced education, earning both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Master of Science in Accounting with a focus in Taxation.

Throughout her professional and academic journey, Cynthia-Kila’ has remained a passionate advocate for underserved communities. As a lifelong Memphian, she has witnessed firsthand the gaps in financial literacy, structural opportunity, and policy response affecting individuals and families.
